My husband and I visited the Palmerston Sports Club on the evening of August 7, 2017. We dined at the Bistro and our meals were served promptly. While they were simple, they were reasonably priced and delicious. We would definitely consider returning in the future. The atmosphere seemed very family-friendly and the staff were polite and efficient.
I've been here as an interstate visitor on many many occasions. It's bright and friendly and kind of efficient, depending on the night. Meals are fairly priced and not bad for pub food, although I have found the Sunday roasts somewhat lame. IThe pokies were the best I'd seen when I first came here. Unfortunately the winning switch seems to have been turned down. It's almost at Crown Perth performance which is disgusting. I used to enjoy a pokie night for $50-$100, now that lasts 30 mins. Everyone I spoke to said the same thing so it wasn't just my imagination. Might follow the crowd and go over the road next time.
The Hub Bistro is part of the club and is a clean, spacious, large modern venue. They have a good pub menu with special deals for pensioners during the week.Food is ordered and paid for at one end of the bar and drinks ordered, paid for and collected separately at the other end of the bar.We have found that some of the meals have been almost cold when served.Staff are friendly and efficient.
I dine at this restaurant regularly and I can say that most of the time the food is great, with occasional small issues. The prices are good and the atmosphere is pleasant.
