Great wee spot, for a graze I tried the lamb and it was fantastic, the service was casual but professional and we had a very relaxing evening. I would recommend this spot for a family outing not really kids family , more a nice place to take your mother for a treat . The staff were most accommodating allowing us to stay well beyond a respectable hour and finish our wine we had quite a table full
Great little spot, kitchen doing a great job, relaxed environment nice place to chop a few drinks with your parents or even grand parents.. suggest making time to relax and make a whole night of it. Will be back
Tucked away in the Hokowitu Village the V.I.K is a great little find. Walking distance for all the area was a big plus as the wine prices were so cheap. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with two separate menus to choose from. We opted for the 'grazing menu ' which had multiple dishes to choose from. The Parmesan artichokes were delicious and a rare roast beef with horseradish sauce went well with our pinot noir. Accompanied by acoustic guitar and voice in the corner of the room the night was highly enjoyable and I would definitely return.
The food was good and the dining experience was great. Will definitely go back
