Rodney's Jamaican Grill - Palmetto

This restaurant is fantastic with delicious food and amazing staff. I have always had a great experience here. It truly reminds me of Kingston in Florida. And don't forget the ice cold Red Stripe! The service is top-notch and the meal options are perfect for dinner. The price per person ranges from $30 to $50.

I ordered from Rodney's through DoorDash. I was hesitant because in the past I have received dishes with tiny bones that you need to be careful with when eating chicken. I ordered stewed chicken with rice and beans, fried plantains, and a beef patty. The beef patty had a thin layer of meat and was dry and hard to the touch. The stewed chicken was just okay, but I would have preferred the chicken to be cooked with the stew instead of just being plain. The rice was grainy and poorly cooked. The plantains were mushy and not sweet at all. I was hoping for better authentic Jamaican food in this area. Unfortunately, this was my final chance for Rodney's as I will not be ordering from them again.

I used to order food from this restaurant through Doordash and every time, the food was always perfect, delicious, and had generous portions. However, when I dined in at the Palmetto location for the first and last time with a friend, we noticed roaches crawling on the walls. I hope they maintain cleanliness at their new location. Unfortunately, I haven't been back since due to the terrible roach infestation. On the positive side, they have great rum punch and excellent service. Service: Dine in.

Food was good There is a nice bar set up inside. Music was playing, it made you almost feel like that You were in the Caribbean island. I'm glad I didn't listen to The Other reviews and I just Walked In with my inbox and I'm from outer state great choice. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ordered Mama G's sampler, and jerk chicken. The portions were generous. Took a bit to get the food although we ordered ahead of time. Will be coming back! Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30
