Their food and drinks are still tasty for sure, but more details need to be take care. We will definitely keep coming back, we are still looking for a better change about this fine dining restaurant. 1st , we are a party of two, the King salmon comes in 3 piece, and the server said all dishes are shareable? Did you tell your kitchen about this is for a table of 3 guest? I believe the kitchen can slice our fish in 2 or 4 if you tell them “this is for party of 2, don’t let them fight for the fish.” 2nd, The lettuce come with our wagyu brisket, the server recommend to use the lettuce wrap the meat, but the lettuce are still pretty wet, I wish they could dry it before they serve it. Otherwise my fingers/palm getting wet oil easily that I can not enjoy this dish. I have to running into the ladies room but here comes the 3rd detail, the podcast playing there is really uncomfortable for me. The tone, the volume, the information that podcast makes me seriously want to run away. Is a ladies room supposedly make customer relax? Why they have these weird podcast playing will people pee, poo, clean up? I wish it is just a quiet ladies room.
We came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The ambience is great but the food is so over priced! We ordered the chef’s menu for 4 ppl 4 non-alcohol drink which costs total over $800. That’s insane!!! The portion is tiny and we don’t get any luxury ingredients. All I remember is salmon, avocado, mushroom, and that’s a $200 per person dinner. I just feel like being ripped off. It will be ok to stay in the bar to have a drink and talk with friends but not dinner again.
I thought the food was decent, nothing terribly memorable for the price point. But we loved the decor and found some of the flavors to be creative. The main thing that made this a sub-optimal experience was the service; the hostess was wonderful, but the bartender was at times aggressive and controlling with what we should order, how much, how it should be eaten. It seemed well-meaning but certainly overly attentive, and otherwise condescending. I remember having to answer several justifying questions as to why we decided to split a steak instead of ordering two I wouldn’t come again but glad I tried it out.
Expensive and Fancy restaurant. Asian infusion type of food. Everything was pretty tasty, except for the cotton cheesecake. It's too dense and dry. It was a great service. I got a non-alcoholic drink and it was good too.
Bird Dog provided an experience through molecular gastronomy. Chef de cuisine, Cameron’s extensive knowledge of food and wine shows his caring of dining presentation. It was more than meal. It was entertainment. Do not wait to visit this gem of Palo Alto. The staff will make you feel special.
