Howie's Artisan Pizza - Palo Alto

This restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere and is very family-friendly, featuring a lovely outdoor patio. First and foremost, the service is always outstanding. Today, we were attended to by two servers: Mike and a lovely young woman whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch, but she was wonderful and made our dining experience even better. The pizza here is simply the best I’ve ever had! At other pizza places, I often leave feeling less than satisfied, but just two slices here were enough to fill me up! There's no shortage of cheese on the pizza, and the flavor is amazing! I'm definitely going to be coming back for pizza regularly! I also tried their Arancini and Bucatini, and both were excellent as well!

We weren't very hungry, so we decided to share several plates as a sampling experience. We tried the bolognese with wide hand-made noodles, carbonara with thick noodles, a veggie pizza, a meatball sandwich, and chicken wings. Overall, everything was quite tasty, and I'm tempted to try the pizza with red sauce on our next visit. The thin crust had a pleasant crispness to it. One thing to note about the meatball sandwich is that you need to eat it quickly; otherwise, the cheese around it gets too hard. The chicken wings were nicely seasoned, too. It seemed like there were fewer staff members working on that Sunday evening, which resulted in a bit of a wait for our orders and our bill.

We had dinner here before a concert at the Stanford Jazz Festival, and the pesto pizza was fantastic. The staff provided excellent service, and we were able to make it to the show on time. While it's not the cheapest pizza around, it is definitely worth the price.

Pasta and pizza were good but a bit on the expansive side. Service was ok, we asked the waitress for some info, she told us something but the asked the kitchen and came back to tell us about it and correct the info.
