I was worried it would be too sweet but it was perfect and also fun to have a popsicle as part of the drink. Who doesn't like to have an alcoholic popsicle now and again. It also melts perfectly into the drink. We also got the queso which was very yummy. Meatballs I am not typically a fan of but I thought they were good (came with three). We also got the fish tacos which were okay. Our waitress was so considerate and nice. She knew exactly when to come and ask if we needed something and left us alone to chitchat. We sat outside and it was nice. I went inside to use the bathroom and I was really impressed with the bar and wouldn't have mind sitting there either. Also plenty of parking in the area. I will be back for the drink alone...would be interested to see if it changes to seasonal flavors.
Paulina was my server and made the entire experience so memorable. I got the huitlacoche mole tacos and a hot cake. The tacos were so perfectly balanced in texture and taste. I was taken away by the sensation of the mole coating my palette. I've never had anything like the huitlacoche tortillas, you probably won't be able to find anything like them any where else in the Bay Area. Citrus and piloncillo in the hot cakes created a heavenly experience. I can't wait to come back to try more food from this authentic and refreshing menu.
