Most importantly the food was epic, the largest lobster I have ever eaten, cooked to perfection.
This place is right on the highway so you could miss it, but don’t! Fresh seafood with lots of choices and the menus is in both Spanish and English Cold Balboa, and a very good margarita added to the fried shrimp, grilled shrimp, fried yucca and French fries. Reasonably priced and large portions. Attentive waitstaff.
Simple food, great taste and plentiful. Seafood felt fresh and the portions were really good. We tried the Baby Lobster dish and it was very tasty, we also had the steak, seafood cacerole, and seafood pasta and they were all good.
We were at a secluded beach on holiday, and our hosts recommended this spot a kilometer from our guesthouse for good seafood. It was a simple spot, but the paella mar tierra was off the hook delicious and reasonably priced at USD $26/2 persons. Cannot beat that. We were full after the meal! Highly recommend.
We were with a party of 10. The service was friendly and attentive both English and Spanish was spoken. The menu was broad with several options as well as extensive seafood specials. I am vegan and my partner vegetarian. The chef was able to whip up pasta with garlic, basil and olive oil and the grilled Veggie salad was large enough for two. Everone portions were more than adequate and everyone enjoyed their seafood choices. Nice ambiance conducive to chatting with others. We will be back!
