The pizza is very good it’s pretty thin exactly how I would expect my New York style pizza to be. It’s a bit pricey but a bit pricey good pizza is better than buying cheap lousy pizza. I consider myself to be a pizza foodie or even a pizza connoisseur I give this pizza 8/10 on my personal pizza scale(crust needs a little garlic butter). I’m a baker so I am VERY Critical of desserts because they all too often fall short in every way. With that being said the desserts at nicks are delicious! I don’t know if they are made fresh in house or if they are purchased elsewhere but whoever is making them knows what they are doing and they are using good quality ingredients in these desserts. I can pick out a Cheap chocolate like a dog can find a bone and the chocolate used in that piece of chocolate cake is very good. The blueberry cream cheesecake was also fantastic.
We decided to put Nick's claim of a slice of Brooklyn to the test and they passed with flying colors! We tried the pizza (regular and Sicilian) and stromboli. All were delicious!
Decided to try Big Nicks Pizza, I am very pleased. The owner or manager was very hospitable. Asked if I needed help, and checked on my order. I ordered the Sicilian, best pizza I ever had. Would recommend and will come back. ?
I was a bit concerned having read some of the negative comments but I can say that I was more than pleasantly surprised. I really wanted to order a fresh pizza, customized to my liking but since my wife opted for the Meat Lovers Stromboli, I knew a pizza would be way too much food for myself. So, I chose the Meat Lovers Stromboli also with a side of Garlic Knots. I was concerned that the pre-made items would not be as good as something fully made after I ordered. Our food arrived in about 10 minutes with the steamy garlic knot aroma filling the air. After pulling one apart and with a dunk in the marinara, I was hooked. These things are excellent. Then on to the Stromboli, hoping it wouldn't be a let down after the knots. No worry there it was just as good.Pros: Fast, friendly service. Food was piping hot and did not taste like something pre-made.Cons: The Meat Lovers came across as a bit on the salty side. Next time I'm ordering something with veggies to offset the salty meats and cheese.Verdict: Excellent, and somewhere I'll definitely return to again and again.
