The scenery at this restaurant is unbeatable! It is conveniently located next to Pier Park with a nice pool and tiki bar. While the elevators may not be the best, we have stayed at all the big resorts in Panama City Beach and they all have their issues. We would definitely return to this place.
Let me make it clear, this establishment is not a luxury resort. The elevators are incredibly slow and the sound they make is so loud that sleeping without earplugs is impossible. The bedroom lacks proper blackout shades, allowing bright exterior lights to shine in all night. The only way to avoid the awful elevator is to use the dirty stairwell that reeks like a hot dumpster. This place may have been nice 30 years ago, but it is definitely past its prime now. The beach at the resort is extremely crowded, the pools are unimpressive, and the exercise equipment is old and noisy. The bar/restaurant has a strange scent reminiscent of Armor All mixed with coconut air freshener. The common areas are outdated and sparsely furnished, and the heavily staffed security team is unfriendly. Accessing the parking garage is a hassle, as is moving around the property with the constant wristband scanning required to enter and exit doors. Despite all these drawbacks, the view from my unit is lovely, and the condo itself is nicely decorated. It's a shame that the rest of the property is so run-down.
The room was very nice and perfect fit for our family, (2801) The hotel was decent looking but has some major flaws. The elevator situation is crazy, It literally takes up to 30 minutes at busy times for the elevator to come. The staff was not very nice or helpful. The beach area was so crowded it was hard to find a spot anywhere, I know that is not the hotels fault but they could do more to help. I will not be back to this place.
This place is in a good location if you like staying close to pier park. Our room was nice with a few minor issues. We had a great view. We didn’t really like having to wear bracelets the whole time. Only one hot tub worked. No water in the gym. The elevator situation was like nothing I had ever seen before with having been going to the beach every year for quite some time and staying in other condos. They had someone working on some of the elevators to stop it from stopping at other floors. The fact that this is needed was insane to me. I would probably not stay here again unless staying on a lower floor. It made it hard to plan to do things at a certain time bc you didn’t know how long you would be waiting around for an elevator.
