D J Bibingkahan - Panorama City

My go-to Filipino take-out. Whenever I have cravings for Filipino food, this is the place I go! Why cook when you have a variety of dishes to pick from for a reasonable price.My regular choices, and always good, are: pinakbet, daing na bangus, kare-kare, pork adobo, pork binagoongan, pancit, pancit palabok, chicken adobo, pusit. Of course, ask for sabaw (soup) which comes with the combo meals.

I was excited to go back to DJ Bibingkahan in Panorama City coz it has been a while since I've been. But that excitement turned sour. Price has definitely increased to $15.88 for a 2-item combo (which is fine coz a lot of establishments have done that since the pandemic) but the food they give has decreased in amount (see photo). So that's why only 1 star for food. It was lunch but there was only one table of 4 people that was occupied. Sorry but I am definitely not going back ?.The one on Vermont Ave already closed down. It won't be a surprise if this place is next.

Worst Filipino food I have ever had in my life. I seldom complain about food, but I think it's important. I ordered the Filipino breakfast which comes with longanisan a type Filipino sausage, mongo, rice, halo halo, and leche flan, fried calamari.The halo halo had a weird gasoline taste and the ice tasted it off as if they did not clean the machine.The leche flan was also disgusting, it was thick and chunky with a weird aftertaste which I threw up after one bite.The Filipino breakfast comprised of some sort of fried rice and had a weird aftertaste as if it was old rice.I had the calamari which had a bland taste. It was crunchy and I was never offered any sauce. I felt kind of nauseous after. Im hoping I don't get food poisoning.The Mongo I didn't even dare try after all of this. The service was terrible and the woman helping me looked like she hated being there.This place used to be good but now it seems the quality has went down. I hope I do not get sick and I will then update this review.

I ate here twice and the food sucks. The adobo is soupy and I came back after a week and order beef steak and it's as soupy as adobo. If you lacking salt in your system., this is the right place to go. They put too much salt in their food. I was planning to write a review on my first visit and I hold onto it coz I want to give them a second chance. But the second time around is still a disappointment. . Besides the food , the service sucks too. Never coming back again. Worst Filipino food ever.
