Contribuisci feedbackThe highlight of our weekend in Paonia was definitely this restaurant. My wife has Celiac disease, and their gluten-free carrot cake was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had—better even than regular gluten-filled versions I've tasted.
We weren't sure what to expect and wow were we glad we stopped in! The Daisy's red blend was sumptuous and the food was delicious! I had the pork belly sandwich and it was a level above! The owner, manager, and waitperson were all wonderful.
Chef Jake did an excellent job with all his dishes; each one was delicious!
Love Root and Vine--they are the epitome of local, seasonable food, prepared so that you can taste the freshness and flavor. Favorites: The roast chicken, the buffalo sliders, the spring roll, shishito peppers, tri-tip steak on foccacia (gluten free for me). A wide variety of wine and some local cider, served by knowledgeable, friendly people. Can't say enough good things about Root and Vine!
Delicious, beautifully presented food, lovely plantings and view, perfect for a summer evening.
