Root And Vine Market - PAONIA

The highlight of our weekend in Paonia was definitely this restaurant. My wife has Celiac disease, and their gluten-free carrot cake was, without a doubt, the best I've ever had—better even than regular gluten-filled versions I've tasted.

We weren't sure what to expect and wow were we glad we stopped in! The Daisy's red blend was sumptuous and the food was delicious! I had the pork belly sandwich and it was a level above! The owner, manager, and waitperson were all wonderful.

Chef Jake did an excellent job with all his dishes; each one was delicious!

Love Root and Vine--they are the epitome of local, seasonable food, prepared so that you can taste the freshness and flavor. Favorites: The roast chicken, the buffalo sliders, the spring roll, shishito peppers, tri-tip steak on foccacia (gluten free for me). A wide variety of wine and some local cider, served by knowledgeable, friendly people. Can't say enough good things about Root and Vine!
