Service was great. But the record I ordered left something to be desired. Ordered Singapore noodles with tiger shrimps. I expected large shrimps and what I got was 3 medium-sized shrimps. What's wrong with us if it were more of them. I was disappointed. For the price of the plate I would have expected 5 or more shrimps of this size.
The taste was incredible, the food was excellent, and the service was outstanding!
I just visited this restaurant every time I'm in Vegas every 1-2 years. The service is consistently good and sushi is excellent.
Working at the Mandalay Bay and staying at the Luxor is very standard for folks in my business. Other than Citizens, all the restaurants in the Mandalay Bay are very expensive although most of them are very, very good as well. But what they all share, other than the very, very, very expensive ones, is the incredible noise of the surrounding area and the music which is everywhere. However, if you go to the Luxor to the atrium which is In the center of the Luxor on the path that leads to the Mandalay Bay, the music is not as “thumpingly loud”. It’s actually bearable. I live in the San Francisco Bay area so I am used to expensive sushi rolls. Considering it is Vegas, the rolls at Rice are not that much more expensive than the ones in my neighborhood. However, the rolls are very big and very delicious... and very filling. So in actuality, they are a very good price for the money and the food is outstanding. The hostesses are lovely and helpful and the wait staff is very good. I went twice and enjoyed it both times and never felt taken advantage of. They even have wines at a reasonable price and my favorite Kim Crawford Chardonnay also at a reasonable price. Next time I’m in the neighborhood I will be back.
