So decided to splurge a little and do the Premium Omakase per person) which is the tasting menu, allowing diners to sample each of the kitchens for a set price. First off let me say the service was impeccable and the chefs are clearly talented and trained well. That said, I will say I’m disappointed by what we got concerning the price of the tasting menu. While the server explained why we received Congee I felt a little put off. It’s not a bad flavor, but considered a “poor man’s” dish and not one served during celebration such as the Lunar New Year. We upgraded to add the Japanese Wagyu beef which is an extra per person. While always delicious, we got a very small cut of sashimi style which didn’t match the price per person, especially when it’s per ounce regularly. On that note they brought the Wagyu last which doesn’t make sense as by this point you’re literally stuffed for the most part. I can’t mark them on lack of food as it is literally almost too much, just the fact that overall I didn’t feel what was brought was worth the price. We ordered bottle of Sake to go with the tasting menu which is highly recommended. Overall the food is very good, but I was still going over in my head for the past few days on whether it was worth the near bill for Frankly I think they need to remove the Congee, change the placement of the Wagyu beef serving and honestly add more sashimi/sushi to the first course. I was surprised by the lack of vegetables overall, besides some corn. Seasonal Japanese vegetables should’ve been somewhere to add some freshness and some greens. I can’t speak for the rest of the menu, but frankly don’t feel the Omakase was worth the price.

Our server was great! He was knowledgeable about the menu and made recommendations that we tried and loves. He was attentive and friendly and was the best part of our experience there!

Fantastic dining experience at Zuma. The gyoza were wonderful and the tomahawk steak was incredible! The robata potato was also a great experience to watch the staff prepare I would certainly go back!

Place is always amazing. Top notch all the way around. Shout out to my server Ayo. Busted his tail non stop for hours taking care of his customers. I am a local and I try to dine here times a year. I highly recommend the tasting menu for both its value and the quality. But regardless, anything you order- you can’t go wrong!
