Noticed quite a few take away orders, which is always a good sign that the food is great and reasonably priced. Peaceful ambience - solo traveller. Sat at a window and watched the busy streets outside.
As good as the first time , friendly service , tasty food. Reasonable prices See below for recommended starter .
We have just eaten at the so called Best of India restaurant. The server(s) were unbelievable grumpy from the moment we walked in. We should have left then! Plus, the other places had customers and this had none. Should also have been our second clue! We ordered sparkling water which was plonked in front of us, and it was warm. When we asked for ice it seemed to be the biggest inconvenience: not quite. They got the order wrong, although we asked for Malai Kofta we got chicken! Asking for the right order did not endear us at all! The rice was cold, my partner's chicken tandoori was bone, with some dark chicken meat. The serving of rice was the smallest I have seen and cold, and yes we love Indian food and eat it wherever we travel. When the Kofta finally came they were the smallest servings I have ever seen, and they were in what can only be described as white sauce. On paying for the food nothing was said except the rudest facial gestures and complete derision. No one said thank you or smiled or showed any positive emotion the entire time we were there. they acted like we were bothering them! We actually left hungry. NEVER AGAIN, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! Because you will pay dearly!!!
