This is the second time that we have dined at Cafe Menilmontant over a period of two years. The staff is friendly and helpful, the food is good and good portions. We had only two entrees and shared a dessert that was enough when we were fed this night. there were no Hassles from the staff for the small order. The food was delicious. We are here for a few months and although living in Bastille will definitely return.
The service was fast and friendly, coffee and dessert was satisfied. But only to pay with card > 15 Euro.
It made me sad to know that I stayed in an apartment just down the street and only discovered this wonderful cafe and the end of my week in Paris! A friend invited us to eat and chose this place, and it was the quintessential...Parisian Cafe experience, in my opinion. We were given a table inside, near a window, and the waitress actually PULLED THE TABLE OUT for me so I could get in to my chair. Who does that?! The service was impeccable, with excellent wine pairings suggested for our meal, and friendly conversation with with our waitress throughout the meal. The ardoise was brought directly to our table so we could peruse the daily menu, and our meals were served in a rather prompt fashion. I can 't even begin to explain how delicious the meal was I ordered a tomato Tarte Tatin topped with arugula and goat cheese, while my travel partner chose a rich and homey Pot au Feu, a french stew, with the accompanying marrow bone on the side. Both meals were spot on both in terms of presentation and flavor. The sentiment was the same when it came time for dessert, with the biggest surprise being the assortment of sweets that accompanied my partner 's coffee on the gourmand platter. All in all, I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone looking for a true Parisian experience to try Cafe Menilmontant all the locals eating here seem to agree!
Very large terrace on the square I spent a great time greedy for a brunch with my little son safely and clean to redo
