The place was full of local regulars. They serve a Duck Confeit that was the best I've ever had. This is slighly off the beaten path, but worth the trip. Reservations for dinner reccomended.ACCESSIBLE: Small step in and same level bathroom.
We had the fixed menu which was better than expected! What we really enjoyed was the service, the personnel and the atmosphere! The guy that waited us was very interesting and his English were very good. Food was really good. A very good choice if you visit Monmarte
We came here as a family on recommendation of a friend. The food, atmosphere and service was excellent. Superb place with a lovely warm friendly welcome. Highly recommended and hopefully we will be visiting again
My boyfriend and I had the 2 course set menu. It was fairly reasonably priced in comparison to other restaurants around but still quite expensive. My food was lovely (the salmon) but my boyfriends duck was dry and not too impressive. For the money we would expect a bit more.
I have walked past Le Sagittaire on numerous occasions and each time I have thought to myself, "I must try that restaurant, one day". Today we tried it for lunch. We entered, accompanied by our small dog and were very nicely welcomed. The place is kind of semi-chic and not at all unpleasant. The staff are warm and charming and the seats are comfortable (this is more important than many restaurants seem to realise). We chose the "Formule" which gave us two courses and 1/4 litre of wine each for the reasonable price of €24.50 each. I started with a Tartare of Salmon, which was well made and very tasty, my partner had a bowl of snails in the ubiquitous garlic and parsley sauce. She loved it. We both followed this with Ribs in a Caramel Sauce. We were informed that the mashed potatoes were no longer available and asked if we would have home-made chips; fortuitously, we agreed. A good chip is hard to find in a restaurant and these were good chips, they had used the right kind of potatoes, so that the chips were crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. The meat on the ribs just fell of the bones and tasted delicious in the caramel sauce. We could choose from red, white or rosé wine and we both chose the red. It was a simple Bordeaux and nicely quaffable; I have drunk far worse in more expensive restaurants. In short a pleasant place to have a decent lunch at an affordable price. We will be trying it out for dinner in the near future.
