I don't speak French and I don't have a problem to get around, order my food and make my shopping. after trying out various means of living in other places like in the rue rambuteau area (pretty vibrant area with a lot of means of living) we still prefer eating in this restaurant. we recommend the confit de canard, brathof huhn, käseburger, bbq hühnerburger, sea bass filet, minced beef steak, french zwiebel suppe. we also love our fries and fresh minttee! they have other decisions that wait for us to try! this restaurant is well protected by the locals and it is in a chic residential neighborhood. it is quite crowded therefore the waiters are so busy, but friendly efficient! and they speak English!
This restaurant was blocks from our apartment. after our first visit, however, I was not very impressed and we did not go there again despite its close proximity. eating was okay, but not writing home. the portion sizes of salads were generous....Other than I can't, it wasn't very memorable.
Visited here after going up the Eiffel Tower and having a wander and realising a couple of hours had turned into This was in the heart of the wonderful Passy with its vibrant shops and cafes. The service was quick with a friendly waiter,...who was very busy but made sure he attended to us. You can't come to Paris without having a croque madame on your travels and I have to say this is the best one I have ever had! It was larger than expected with a decent portion of dressed salad as a garnish but was more like a side dish. Ended up staying for an extra beer to relax and take in the ambient atmosphere as we watched the world go by. I would absolutely recommend this place and I would love to try more of the menu.
When we were over, we noticed how busy the place was. So we went for lunch. We have one of the few available tables. The atmosphere was excellent. Loud. Working. Lively. We had Omelettes who were very tasty. We came back to dinner later. Very busy again, but less than at noon. Beers were expensive compared to other places in Paris (Affligem). The food was very good. Steak for me and Lake Bass for my companion. Deserts were also very good. Tarte didin. Service was fast and friendly. There is a wide selection in the menu.
We were two families and there were choices for all (including children). a large menu with salads, sandwiches, pasta, burger and also more “loved” meal times like ducks or whistles. good prices and share
