Just next door to the hotel Terminus and opposite the Gare de Lyon, this restaurant is busy but fantastically efficient. We were in a rush as we had to get to the airport, but our food arrived quickly and was delicious and reasonably priced. My...daughter had the moules frites and couldn't finish the huge portion and I had the goat's cheese salad with ham. The portions were good and the food was fresh. Recommended.
Dropped in today for a late lunch. Ordered a couple of burgers which were both delicious and fast. Service was exemplary with a lovely waiter who spoke English and didn't seem to mind our broken French. Overall a nice spot to sit and enjoy a...meal.
We went to this restaurant because it was next to our hotel and the weather was dreadful. The service was very friendly, but slow even allowing for the fact that it was busy. My husband had smoked salmon and steak, which was fine and quite...good value. The waiter was confused over which salad I 'd ordered, and even though I pointed out his mistake and he correctly repeated out back to me, I still finished up with the wrong one. In case you 're wondering, my French is quite good enough to distinguish between Italienne and Parisienne ! If we had not been waiting so long I 'd have sent it back, but I was afraid that it might take another hour to get the right thing. We both finished with chocolate fondant which, contrary to expectations, arrived so fast, it must have come out of the microwave. However out was nice and chocolatey, with a runny middle, so it doesn 't really matter how it was cooked unless you 're a food snob. Overall, it was not a bad meal, although I would have preferred to eat what I ordered.
We had a simple basic dinner at Café Terminus after a long shopping day in Paris center. It was a cold rainy windy evening. However we took a table on the terrace. Unattractive but we needed smoking. Café Terminus has a very convenient location in front of Gare de Lyon, fair service, atmosphere a bit boring may be due to the sad weather that night. We ate traditional brasserie dishes like onion soup, cold cuts platter, sausage aligot, we drank a Brouilly. It was late, we left to take the bus and come home.
