In short, the prices were insanely high even by Parisian standards. The food was bland, uninspired, and in some cases, cold. Wait staff was uninviting and pretentious. To cap it off the management used a special request to price gouge (90 Euro for a plain bunt cake). Best to not let this restaurant sour your experience in Paris...as it did ours.
We went with friends to this Sardinian restaurant. It is a place in which you immediately feel welcome. The owner was friends with the couple we joined and starters began to appear: octopus and fennel salad, grouper tartar, and others. Three of us had pasta (meat, fish, vegetable) and two had octopus. Wine was brilliant. Wait staff attentive and nice. AND THE FOOD WAS BRILLIANT! We will be back next time we are in Paris. A great find we had somehow missed. Highest recommendation!!
All I can say is, I have never had better Italian food in 20-30 years of eating it outside of Italy and my Nonna, wish I could live locally worth moving from Wales.!! thanks guys
It’s a shame because the food is nice and creative but the owner and the personal are unfriendly and act with strange manners . Speaking and understanding Italian I even heard the owner qualifying some customers who visited the restaurant previously as being “coglioni” . Prices are over exaggerated I really felt strange to pay that much for a pasta dish. It seems that the restaurant works well as Parisians are used to unfriendly manners so need to change anything . Really a pity .
Sardegna in Tavola is a treasure trove of excellent food, fabulous service and great wine. You can't find better and should come here at least once in your life, it is a great experience.
