The food is good and the prices reasonable. We'd been past a couple of times and after a hard days trek around Paris wanted something quick and simple. I had a croque monsieur and a lemon crepe which to be fair wasn't a challenge for the kitchen but the food was cooked well and really tasty. The service was good and while the waiters English was only slightly better than my French he was a friendly sort of chap. We'll definitely be back to that district of Paris and will pay them a visit again. The bill was fair and no hidden charges. Only thing is the set menu is not available at weekends and that includes Friday night. But don't let that put you off. Worth a visit if you are passing.
La Bolee was just around the corner from our apartment and after a long day's travel seemed a good spot to try, sitting outside on a warm September evening. However, for us the build up ended there. Although there were plenty of diners who seemed to be enjoying their food, for most of us it fell a bit flat. I had an Auverne cheese dish which tasted of nothing in particular, our son ended up with a buckwheat galette with a fried egg on top - not very exciting and our daughter in law a rather tough piece of steak.May be our palettes were just not suited to that regional fare.
We ate here three nights out of a four night stay (it was five minutes walk from our Mercure hotel). It specialises in glattes/crepes both sweet and savoury and has a wide range of salads, pasta dishes, chicken dishes , meat and omelettes - which are around the 10-11 euro mark. I had a lovely ham and cheese omelette for 7.5 euros. You can sit outside and a pichet of wine only costs 7 euros. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our bill for four people main meal and shared salad starter was 60-65 euros and the quality of food was excellent. There are special deals at midday. Would thoroghly recommend
The food, people and vibe are the real thing! My wife and I will travel across SD for their homemade meat patties.
Just finished the order received my order via Eat24 and I wanted to review this spot while my impression is still fresh _This is the first time I've eaten
