I visited this neighborhood establishment in the 15th with my children and friend. My friend ordered the broiled fish. I had the sweetbreads with potatoes. My first time having this and it was sublime. The sauce was a wonderful match to the texture. The steak...hache garnered high praise from my kids. They complimented the tenderness and the rich flavor. Easy to consume as it was already broken down into its hash form. The salmon appetizer was a favorite. Fresh fish from the day, the whipped fraiche went well with raw fish. The endive was sublime subtle not bitter as I found back home in the US. For dessert, my friend ordered the lemon sorbet with vodka. Oh my goodness!!! The vodka married with sweetness of the lemon was superb! Did not get a picture of that unfortunately. But please order it if it is available.
Needed a nice restaurant where a group could get a good meal and talk. I’m not familiar with the neighborhood, so was very happy to have picked the Blavet. Nice service, timely bit not pushy, great menu, in options, quality and pricing. Great evening and...I highly recommend.
Really recommend this restaurant, if you want traditional French food in a home-cooked style. The restaurant is not fancy at all, you wouldn't know it was there as it's not on a main street but it's definitely worth a visit if you want something hearty....I had prawn and crayfish ravioli to start, fillet of beef with foie gras medallion and potato gratin, and then a mini selection of deserts. All washed down with a lovely bottle of red and a couple of calvados : We chose from the 39 Euro set menu. Everything was absolutely delicious.
A small friendly restaurant, a little off the main track. We ate from the 3 course, €34 menu and it was great. Quality food and good portion sizes. Traditional home cooked French cuisine and a nice selection of wines. Certainly recommended.
