Chez Leon - Paris 18e Arrondissement

The (probably) owner received us very well and we had a merguez couscous who was divine. the merguez are marinated and cooked a la plancha and the sweet, high quality and perfectly cooked, were excellent. I had not expected so much joy at this corner. in paris and was very pleasantly surprised. the appetizer of calamari (with thinly cut French fries) was plentiful and quite good, but come for the couscous. next time we want to try this one. the trip worth, and very practical when they go to montmartre that only a short 15 minutes to walk away! also the price was more than right. I would have liked to have paid more!

This family restaurant is a really good address that serves great couscous and other meals. the personal is very nice and the owner is looking forward to his guests. m

Really satisfied with the service. too friendly and gave 110% service. good beer, friendly atmosphere and beautiful little bar. ali was great! we will definitely come back.

A must-go in the 18th Arrondissement. My colleague and I were in Paris on business, staying at an AirBnb near Porte De La Chapelle, and we found Chez Leon on TripAdvisor. Our experience was similar to those described on the TripAdvidor. Restaurant is extremely clean...and charming. Owner is jovial, takes great pride in his fresh offerings, and the staff was super-friendly and polite...Even though we spoke broken French. We ordered the grilled mixed meat kabob, and the lamb shank, both couscous dishes. The grilled meats were wonderful and perfectly prepared, but the lamb shank was BEST I 've ever had: Beautifully seasoned, and so tender it melted in my mouth. That day 's fresh vegetables were prepared in a delicious homemade broth and accompanied the couscous dishes. I will be in Paris longer than my colleague will, and I plan to return once more before leaving the city.

The staff here made us feel very welcome, even though we did not speak French. They took their time to explain everything as best as they could and did not become impatient when we did not understand. The duck and the lasagna were delicious. I...would highly recommend this cafe.
