Brook Garden Restaurant - PARKERVILLE

We dropped in here for a light lunch and sat under a lovely tree in the garden. We were seemingly then forgotten. My partner had to go back in to the restaurant to put our order in, Antipasto platter and two coffees, nothing too complicated. Took about 45 mins to arrive, also 10 mins after being told it was on the pass! No coffee. The food itself was really nice and well presented. We were then asked if we'd like a drink! We mentioned the coffees and they did arrive promptly this time. We were in no hurry and the setting is absolutely tranquil but if that's the service when they weren't busy I'd be worried about an evening meal. However, may give it a go as the food was good. So hopefully some constructive criticism.

Yesterday evening this restaurant opened especially, to help us celebrate my wife's 70th birthday. Dale and her staff couldn't have done more to make this a wonderful evening, and the food was exceptional.We all enjoyed a very happy occasion. Thank you Brook, we will definitely be back.

We had not been here for a meal in about 20 years. Decor and general atmosphere has changed little. The food was excellent and nicely plated. We were there for a family function and there were no complaints on the food or location. The Pork Belly and the Moroccan Lamb were excellent. The bill was the problem. Exhaustive calculations, not shown, no detail copy, just a number to pay. For a two course meal and a bottle of wine shared among four to be upside of $100 per head was a shock. Most unlikely to ever return.

Food at The Brook Garden Restaurant was superb. Generous servings, beautifully plated. No complaints from our group of 4. Ambiance of this quaint little place is a perfect place to have a get together. Heated by a fire place, it was very cosy. Not our first time here and will not be our last.

Had a Great Breakfast at The Brook this morning. Would reccommend if you want a warm and cosy place near the fire place for a great breakfast.
