They take pride in their customer service and making the food up to the required standard and very clean and healthy. It’s not like a typical Indian restaurant . It’s more than that. I had a wonderful experience and felt like I ate in my home .
Whenever I visit Parkes, I always make sure to stop by this restaurant for some delicious Indian cuisine. The owner and his wife are both welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend trying the generously sized samosas, chicken tikka masala, and spinach and cheese naan. The vegetarian curries, like spinach Dahl and eggplant curry, are also delicious. The prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are satisfying.
After living in Sydney Canberra, this is the best Indian food I've had. Great taste, generous portions friendly staff.... too good for Parkes!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Vijay is a fantastic guy who serves traditional Indian food just the way you like it. He is happy to accommodate regional preferences, which is a rare feature. The restaurant has a simple decor that lets the food speak for itself. The atmosphere is great and the music is not bad either. We arrived at 8:30pm, half an hour before closing, and they offered us the option of takeaway or dining in. The food was exceptional in terms of flavor, spice, and heat. The dahl was fresh and vibrant and really hit the spot. It was as good as any I've had back in India. I highly recommend visiting this place and don't be shy to ask questions or try a variety of dishes and sides. Cheers to Vijay for his good food, great service, and accommodating nature.
The service at this restaurant was excellent. We had a pleasant conversation with the owner for about 5 minutes, during which he provided us with helpful information about Parkes and the surrounding area. The food was authentic and delicious. We ordered samosas, chicken tikka, rice, and a mango lassi, which was more than enough for the two of us. It was suggested to make a reservation during festivals and special events, as the restaurant tends to get very crowded during those times.
