Samurai Sushi & Teriyaki - Parksville

Very fresh. Excellent quality. I ordered the bento for dinner and the portion was very generous. The nigiri and sashimi were excellent quality.

Heard thru the grapevine from a strong source that food prep is lacking. Meat is left out unrefrigerated far longer than necessary and we all know what that means. Worst….. actual reports of food falling from preparation surfaces falling on the floor and simply picked up and used, and not washed or discarded. The staff seem to not give a damn about this sordid practice. For these reasons I feel a sense of revulsion, having been a regular since the start. I am posting this with the hope that changes can come about. The food is yummy but ‘what the hell ‘ !

We decided to try out the new ownerhip and the menu looked great. Our order was GOMAI, Bento Boxes and some of the rolls. My goodness what a bad experience. You know what raw fish is like if its beeen frozen and then thawed its soggy, watery , not fresh and it really bothered me. The tempura was also not the best but they do have decent chicken teryaki but it was way to sugary for me. Anyway I could never recomment it.

Had dinner with my daughter and two 4 yr old twins . Staff was very accommodating and we felt very welcome and looked after. Food was excellent, service was great, prompt and with a smile. Will definitely recommend.

This was my first time to Samurai, and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered sushi, while my friend (who is allergic to fish) ordered Chicken dishes. The portions are much larger than I have had in a Sushi restaurant before. I ordered a Jalapeno Bomb for a starter, a special Sushi roll, for my mains including a few pieces of Sashimi. The sashimi was excellent, and just melted in my mouth, and the rest of the meal was delicious. The portions were much larger than expected, so I had leftovers. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for all the dishes, as my friend really enjoyed her meal as well. The staff were very friendly and the prices were very reasonable.
