Our food and drinks arrived in disposable packaging, even though we 'dined in '
Well made toasties and hot drinks; the cheeseburger is very good! The toastie and coffee deal for $10 is good value, but be sure to mention you are eating in to avoid disposable coffee cups.
I’ve come to home.2 a few times now and have been consistently impressed. Their coffee is good, their hot chocolate powder is ethically sourced and vegan, the sausage, sauerkraut and hashbrown jaffle was delicious and the ginger and molasses cake was exceptional. The staff are friendly and helpful and the venue with outside and inside seating is great. On top of this, it’s a not for profit fighting youth homelessness! I will definitely be coming back!
I was in town after a meeting and took the opportunity to try out this place for a late lunch just before the kitchen closed. From the jaffles menu I ordered the bean and cheese and the mushroom, pesto and tomato (both $8). These were both perfectly fine if not amazing. The beans were in a rich and mildly spicy sauce. Unfortunately I couldn’t taste the cheese in either sandwich, but appreciated its texture. The sandwiches were served on separate plates and each came with a side of some sort of sweet sauce or chutney, which I would ask them to leave out next time. Extra point for sustainability and being a social enterprise supporting people experiencing homelessness.
I had a soy flat white and a pesto, mushroom and tomatentoastia. the coffee was delicious. the pesto had a great taste and I enjoyed the toastia. I will try him again, other combinations.
