Since I have neglected to learn Chinese for some reason, what was I thinking. He called his boss and we ordered over the phone?? I don't know about it. I'll review the food as well. But this has been a hassle so far. We'll probably try another place next time. Update 1: we've been here half an hour and still waiting for our food. I suppose this is their first day back since Christmas. Not sure why I'm making excuses for it hem tho. Maybe they should open at 1pm when they're ready . Update 2: Greatly dissapointed with the food. Where is this coming from? I suppose I've gotten spoiled by Panda xpress. These seem to be leftovers from before Christmas, just reheated. The shrimp in the lo mein was slimy. They use very thick lo mein noodles. I prefer the thinner noodles they use at Panda. The beef and broccoli was also slimy. The beef at China Star was very very gristley and difficult to consume. I was throwing every other bite away. I've gotten used to the high quality beef tips that they use at Panda and this was definitely a big step backward. On top of that, it made me sick all evening with many trips to the bathroom. Its a shame this is he closest Chinese resto to my apt. It's just unacceptable. I'll be driving the extra miles to Panda and paying a couple dollars more, for now. Sometimes you get what you pay for.
Food is very flavorful. Lo mein and beef broccoli are the favorites in my house. Crab Rangoon is good W/ sweet sour sauce yum yum! Wait times can be long during dinner time but well worth the wait!
Fast friendly service. Food tasted great. Good size portion.
The food quality is always consistent and very good! I've been going there for years!!!
This place is one of my favorite places to get shrimp lo-mein.
