The service was great and the pizza and salad were great.
My wife loves her pizza (I'm not a big fan of thin crust) and we both love salads with the Pink Stuff. You also have some pretty good sandwiches if you are not in the mood for pizza. I just got a couple of beers with a big group, so we had a pitcher. From what I remember, the beer was freezing. When talking about ice, they have the really small chip ice when you crunch it while drinking. Don't sit next to my daughter because she's crazy. The staff is great and some of them have been there for over 20 years since we've been far beyond this. If you have a big group, they have a big room that would hold a baseball team that did a few times. Of course you should call before you do.
Compared to other options for pizza... Actually, I'm a big fan of Pizza Shoppe. If you're thinking about pizza now, you'll be sure to have your great pizza chains that serve you a fat wheel in a recycled cardboard and you have your quality pizza options such as Old Chicago, or Old Shawnee Pizza. If I want to sit down and enjoy a nice pizza with some service, don't beat pizza shoppe. The location was clean, welcoming and the staff was friendly! Great service in our experience. We went when they were slow, but even then this is not a guarantee for good service. Overall, I should say that this is some of my absolutely favorite pizza. It is not fat, made with high-quality ingredients, and the crust is just right.
This pizza shoppe always does a fantastic job of providing excellent pizza at a reasonable price. If you’re in the area I highly recommend you stop in for their barbecue pizza or their butcher block. Both are extremely delicious. Their salads are fantastic and you must try the pink stuff this local Kansas City pizza restaurant is hands-down one of the best in the metro.
