While waiting, we decided to come here for a grilled chicken sandwich as the auto car next door highly recommended here and she showed me a to-go menu. The clam chowder caught my eye. It's pretty much find your own seat and the bartender comes to take your order. They no longer have the clam chowder ?. I just ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. The sandwich to me was okay if you like tons of seasoning on it. It was a bit too dry/over cooked. It's not on a brioche bun. They had a few channels going so you can watch sports or news or a movie. Parking: There's construction on the main street. Be careful turning into the parking lot.
Great service the bar server Chrystal is the best, she is right on it when it comes to taking care of her customers.
The fish is excellent. Great sweet cheese pierogis.
The owners of Union House have done an amazing job of updating the bar and restaurant while still maintaining the working man charm of the original. I wish I’d taken pics of the food, it was delicious. The burger (sourced from Whiteys in Richfield)is a generous half pound and cooked to perfection. Fun appetizers like the Tater Kegs (tots stuffed with buffalo chicken) and the Parma Wings, (mini pierogi tossed in your choice of several different wing sauces) are a fun shareable. The Wednesday/Friday fish fry is available year round and is delicious. Served with a side of fries and coleslaw it really hit the spot. For the more health conscious you can get a beautiful veggie plate or choose from a myriad of salads and grilled chicken.
Went for wings night on a Monday, the wings were decent and cooked all the way thru. The beer special was good 2.00 for domestic bottles and cans. The service was lacking only 1 bartender for the whole place and it wasn't that busy. When the evening bartender took over service was much better. The atmosphere was ok I think a typical bar but the mens bathroom between the smell and little flies wait till you get home.
