Brown rice salmon sushi is bland and not fresh tastingGet the roll for 3.80 or the cut up pieces for $7- it's a jip.
There are two Asakaze in Parramatta Westfield This one is in the food court on Level 5.
I'm not sure if I don't like Asakaze, or if I just don't like Japanese food. I think maybe I just don't like Asakaze.
Asakaze is quite a well known Japanese food joint, so I decided to give it a go in Westfield's food court for lunch. Today we ordered a chicken katsu don (miso soup included) and 3 salmon avocado rolls. I was very disappointed with everything. The chicken Katsu don meat tasted old, as if it had been cooked previously and re-heated today. Also, the rice was burnt! And there was a lot of moisture at the bottom of the bowl. The sushi rolls were warm and bland in taste even though it appeared very presentable. The salmon in the roll didn't even reach the bottom. About 2/3 of the way down the roll, there was no more salmon! The highlight of the meal was the small bowl of miso soup.
