I ordered two cocktails, soft shell crab, katsu curry, and the volcano roll. My favorite dish was the roll; the salmon was very fresh and the flavors blended well together. The katsu curry was good, but I thought it could have used more sauce as there was a lot of rice. The total bill for dinner, including drinks, came to around $75.
I absolutely adore this restaurant. The dishes are full of flavor and there are so many options to choose from. The portion sizes are generous and satisfying. I highly recommend trying out this fantastic Japanese restaurant in Parramatta.
Delicious Japanese restaurant on a new strip of restaurants. Umaya offers dishes that come out in very little wait time, we had the edamame, ocean sashimi plate (very fresh), gyozas (soupy like a xiao long bao), wagyu tataki (very salty), seared salmon roll (quite nice). We also had the chicken karagee which was very juicy and tender.
This restaurant is one of my favorites in the local area and I feel fortunate that I don't have to travel far to enjoy a delicious Japanese meal. The staff is great and the restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere. Some of my favorite dishes include curry katsu don, beef tataki, takoyaki, gyoza, and the sushi, which is always fresh and beautifully presented. I keep returning to try more dishes from their menu.
Consistently awesome karaage curry udon! Service has always been friendly and the decor is very new and pleasant. Besides that karaage curry udon, the sushi has been a consistently high quality too.
