Sorry but honestly $13 for what I got no, it's not worth it. The eggs were completely bland and I don't know about that tomato/ pasta sauce on it, didn't compliment the flavor with the egg. The bread wasn't fully toasted so it was soft in the center. I ordered 3 additional muffins hopefully those are good didn't try those yet . Overall price for sandwich and 3 muffins $28 Pretty expensive
I was at a convention in Pasadena last week, at breakfast almost every day there, at lunch a few times too. Everything was fresh and good, the service was excellent. I had an egg on the giant english muffin a few times, it had feta, it was really good. My friends had the egg salad this morning and it was the prettiest thing I've ever seen on a plate. I wish I'd ordered it. If you are in the area, you have to try this place.
Highly recommend their egg salad sandwich! They recommend the sandwich with their rosemary bread or their cranberry/walnut bread. I was lucky enough to live close by and would walk here for brunch on the weekends. My Fave is their egg salad sandwich, though I've had their croque madame and pastries, too (Spoiler, also, good options). Good coffee, as well. Fast forward, I moved and Covid happened. So big tip, definitely call before you make the trip out, to confirm they are open! During the pandemic, I drove by every few months, checking if they were open. My attempts weren't consistent, by any means, but many times, they weren't open despite what their posted hours are. I once walked in, excited that I made it in while they were open, and they didn't have any of the egg sandwich anymore--boo-hoo. I finally was able to get in order my egg salad, and I noticed they have a help wanted sign posted. I'm assuming they're majorly shorthanded. Also, their pastry and macaron options have slimmed down. You'll still find a few pastry options and cookies, all delicious.
Updated review. I finally decided to update my review from 11 years ago. Unfortunately, Europane hasn't been the same since it was sold. We have tried several times to accept the change in quality for old time's sake but yesterday was out last visit. Far from good enough.
Unfortunately, this place feels like its slow death. At 9am it was almost empty and there was only 1 person. The pastry case was mostly empty (remembered when he was busy and burst with pastries!? and the food we ordered was so bad that we threw it away. The latte was good and the cold brew was terrible. We had to wait 20 minutes, even though we were the only people who ordered.
