Absolutely delicious. I checked it out because of the EATER review, and I was not disappointed.
I love Jian Bing so much!! We've been coming here since before covid, and it's nice to be able to sit inside again and eat the hot, fresh Jian Bing. I've had many different kinds, and all are delicious. They really explained their menu. Today, we also had the preserved pork and egg congee, the tea egg, and the soy milk. The congee and tea egg are fine. You can order the soy milk hot or cold, sweetened or unsweetened. I am interested in trying the duck wings or maybe a bento, but I'm really only interested in their perfect Jian Bing. Heads up. The service is pretty slow. They are making one Jian Bing at a time, so be prepared to wait a little if they are more busy.
Mediocre yet utterly expensive food. But worst of all is the service. Being a fast-food place with basically no additional service of any kind, the receipt asks for a minimum of 18% service fee BEFORE U GET YOUR FOOD. After giving a custom of about 12% tip, i got the WORST attitude I've ever received here in US. The owner basically threw my food on the table, with the filling of the crepe on the table, and then took the tray away when he's supposed to leave it. Will never be back again for this horrible experience and won't recommend anyone to come here unless u want your food served with that attitude on the side.
Decent if you get your food … I went here with a group of friends, and had a rather strange experience. In short, my order never arrived, and one of my friends youtiao took 45 minutes. The people who did get their crepes enjoyed it though. So ultimately, a very mixed experience for me personally I’d give it a lower than 3 stars, but since other people did get and enjoy their food I’ll keep it at three.I ordered a spicy tofu soup. It just never arrived, even after waiting an hour and inquiring about it. Other parties after me did get served (including soups). After 30 minutes I checked on the order and was told it was on the way. 30 minutes after that, I decided to cancel the order and they did at least give me the refund. Someone else (different party) had also waited a really long time and decided to cancel their order. They allowed this as well, so that’s at least doable…Not impressed by the service though the food seemed ok for people who got it.
