While I wasn't a huge fan of the taro cake, I do enjoy experimenting with taro in various dishes. The pancakes were heavenly, an absolute delight with every bite. The strawberry box was also quite nice. I'm already looking forward to coming back as there are so many other dishes I want to try. I highly recommend this place! I won't go into detail about how much you need to try the crème brûlée soufflé pancakes, but honestly, if you do, you won't regret it. I love this place and hope to return soon. I don’t give 5 stars easily!
I love pancakes, but I never had Japanese pancakes. they are so fluffy! delicious butter, mouthwater, decadent to the last bit! it takes about 25 minutes from the grill to the table, but it is worth waiting.
This is a very cute cafe in Pasadena on the corner of a busy intersection. We didn't have trouble finding street parking. There are lots of restaurants, retail stores, and other cafes around. Per recommendation by the employee, we chose to get the Mango sunshine soufflé pancake. $13.95. They may be pricey but the portion, quality and taste is worth it! They use mangos, mango purée, and assortment of fruits. The soufflés are made to order and use fresh ingredients from japan! You can see them make it right in front of you. They are the fluffiest cloudy pancakes I've ever tasted or seen! They are egg based, so it did have an eggy taste. Japanese Momo Peach Milk Tea without cheese foam $4.25 I don't have a photo of this but this year was my favvvvv!!! It has such a subtly peach and floral taste. It has such a girly/feminine taste. Every sip was surprisingly better than the previous. Will be getting this again!
This charming little restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating and is conveniently located on a corner. I ordered the Nutellamisu Mousse Soufflé pancakes along with Golden Roasted Oolong Milk Tea. The soufflé pancakes were absolutely delicious! They had a lovely flavor reminiscent of coffee and Oreos, and they were incredibly fluffy while being perfectly cooked inside. They were generously topped with sauce and surrounded by fresh fruits. Truly fantastic! As for the Golden Roasted Oolong Milk Tea, I wasn't quite sure what to expect; I thought it would taste similar to coffee, but it had more of an English tea flavor, which wasn't really to my liking. The staff were friendly, and the prices were reasonable. There's also street parking available.
The pancakes are incredibly delicious and fluffy—absolutely delightful! I also tried the matcha tea with cheese foam, and it was fantastic. However, there were a couple of downsides: I had to wait 30 minutes for my order, and getting a table can be quite challenging.
