I will give it 5 stars on atmosphere, but mosquitoes were biting me all over ?
The food was really good but the portions of some plates were very small considering their price!
Happened upon this place as I was returning from vacation and a weekend of eating well. Let's just say it ..UNHEALTHY EATING. but that's what you do on vacation, right? So we were looking for something fresh and not FRIED OR SUGAR BASED. We popped into this place and started out with the cabbage salad and some hummus, and both were pretty refreshing and great tasting. Of course, we didn't stop there. We also ordered the pressed chicken sandwich, which came with fries (Yes, we overlooked that part), but we certainly didn't mind. Everything we had was pretty good and fresh. I had been looking for a new Mediterranean place and I found it !!! I would be remiss if I did not mention that the service was also exceptional. Our waitress, whose name escapes me, was pretty awesome.
This is a family-run business that puts a lot of love and care into their dishes. Our hostess was so attentive and considerate. She even offered our sister, who stopped by just to visit, a cup of water and extra set of dinnerware. The covered patio is charming and combines the best of outdoor seating and natural lighting. We tried:-Fattoush salad: super refreshing because of the pomegranate molasses; toasted pita was delightfully paper-thin -Fried cheese rolls: herbaceous filling with flavorful spices; definitely something to share with the table (or not hehe -Foul: comforting, earthy, plump fava bean stew; served with olives, onions, tomatoes, and mint; the mint makes a world of a difference-Garlic Chicken Pressed Sandwich: subtle flavor profile, needed a little more flavor for our liking (might ask for extra garlic next time but inside perfectly toasted bread (without being greasy!! ; served with the best shoestring French fries -Montee (baked : cute little beef meatballs in a crispy dumpling wrapper, served with robust tomato sauce and garlic/sumac yogurt; my first time trying this dish that set a high standard for everyone else haha
