I ordered a two taco combo plates with one Al Pastor and one chicken. They come with beans and rice. Separately the beans and rice are kind of bland and the beans quite watery, but together with a little Tapatio they were pretty good. Chicken taco was good but the Al Pastor was pretty killer. Lots of meat, very flavorful and simple with just tomatoes and onions. In the future, I'll get a couple of the Al Pastor tacos and skip the sides. Took about 15 minutes cooked to order. Very nice gentleman working the register. The restaurant itself seemed very clean and there's plenty of free parking.
Walked here from a brew pub to pick up food. Business is closed and being replaced by La Parrilla. Sign says coming soon.
Whenever I am in Paso Robles this is my Go To Mexican restaurant. I especially like their carne asada tostada and burrito. You actually need a knife and fork for the burrito because it 's comes stuffed and kind of open, not exactly rolled. They will special order any of their items and or combinations on the menu. The chips and salsa are part of the order at no extra charge, and theirs are home made, as well as the salsa. The staff are super friendly, and it reminds me of stopping by someone 's home as opposed to a restaurant. The only reason I would not rate this as five stars is they don 't always stay on top of the dishes, and they tend to pile up near the counter and by the restrooms. Four and a half for sure, otherwise if not for dishes 5 Stars all the way! I have been frequenting this place for over 10 years, always Greatttt Food. Definitely going to keep coming back...
Was in town recently, after a long day of driving looking for some true Authentic Mexican food old school the way it's supposed to be. I found it here at this delicious little restaurant. Fresh and made to order, with an extensive traditional menu, you can literally get anything and everything you could possibly want in a good Mexican food restaurant. I settled on a huge platter of well seasoned carne asada with grilled onions and peppers, papas, a side salad with spiced rice and beans, it was true old school delicious. A plate of hot fresh white corn soft tortillas on the side and an ice cold Pacifico it was hard to beat and pretty much what I was looking for. This little eatery is tucked away in a strip center, with minimal signage but definitely worth a visit and the effort to find it and stop. In a town loaded with restaurants all over town this little stop is a gem. 4.5 Stars rounded up for the great service and attention to making sure everything was good and to my satisfaction 00623
We were looking for a Mexican food restaurant not really fast food, but saw this place. Small not sure about cleanliness, waiter/host was very friendly. But never came back over to see if we needed more water, I had to ask for more chips because he seemed a little preoccupied with I think his phone. Took a while to get our food, the food was decent, a little on the pricey side I thought. It's ok strange recipe for Mexican rice, it was light brown/white lol
