Pizzas Mandala - Pátzcuaro

Relaxing, friendly atmosphere. The kind of pizza I like. Thin, flavorful and just right. Like a pro. The salad is worth going for alone. They know how to do it.

Had heard about Mandala and was anxious to try it. We were not disappointed! The thin crust pizza is very flavorful. You have your choice of toppings. I loved the one with bacon and onions! My husband loved the sausage, pepperoni and jalapeños.it is a small place with excellent service. The salad is creative, good and has a yogurt dressing. We were in town a little over a week and ate their twice!

I live one block from Mandala. It is one of only two great pizzas in Patzcuaro and Mandala is only one in an actual restaurant. I LOVE going there for the ambience and the great pizza. I always have a glass or two of wine and their excellent salad. A great way to enjoy the company if friends in a casual affordable setting.

Thin crust, intensely flavoured (my fave is the #9). Small place, but they also have take-out. Good salads too. Have not tried the pasta.

We have been in Pátzcuaro since the beginning of March and have had five trips to Mandala. Both takeout and eat in. So far, yes, this is the best pizza we have had in town. Many choices of toppings but we seem to be stuck on the Mandala..with just a slight taste of anchovies. The crust is thin but beautifully crunchy on the bottom. No eating utensils required! Usually a small is plenty for two but last night a large was required! Along with a Chica salad, which we shared. The salad..only one choice..comes in two sizes. Delicious, but as we visit there frequently it would be very nice to have another salad choice.Drinks are available, of course..vino de Casa, or commercial choices, beers, mescal (yum), tequila, etc. at reasonable prices. And several pastas were offered on the menu as well. We cannot comment on these dishes as we always order pizza at Mandala.The restaurant is presently open Thursday through Sunday from, I believe 2 p.m. on. There are two small eating areas. The young staff is attentive and unobtrusive. The owner is very pleasant and welcoming and has awesome music! We feel very comfortable eating in this restaurant where it seems a lot of the clientele come on a regular basis. Unpretentious, comfortable, good food, good service, good prices.
