And I did feel that I have been to a new friend 's home. This is helped by the fact they Miguel and his wife Sam, who supervises the kitchen live upstairs with two dogs and a cat. And now for the food: I had a coque de vin made with a chocolate. I did not like the sound of it but I eat every bit. There was a tasting menu with a Mexican ravioli as the alternative. Both were delicious. Afterwards, I was invited to a place nearby with two other guys along with Miguel and Sam. We danced and drank pulque. It was a wonderful night.
New location. Lerin 23. A fixed menu that focuses on local ingredients. I sound like a marketing dope but it is incredible what they create in that kitchen
What an interesting place for dinner. The staff was super sweet and kind. The chef even came out to say hello! I really, really wanted to like this place given all of the positive reviews However, the food missed the mark. Everything was either overly cooked and dry or overly sweet. This is a spot for ex-pats looking for something reminiscent of home minus the taste profile. I stopped taking pictures after the second course.
