My first visit, I was extremely happy with the food, the service, the atmosphere and the company of my 76-year-old friend from Pawhuska. For starter, we split an order of LADD’S CHOPPED WEDGE salad. Their portions are huge so it can easily be split between two people. We also ordered their Not Knots which are to die for. I've never sunk my teeth in anything so satisfyingly delicious—crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. They were deliciously bathed in their garlic and basil/parsley olive oil and grated parmesan cheese. These were served with a variety of red and white sauces, which I never used because I wanted to savor the flavor on its own. You can't go to P-Town Pizza and not try the Not Knots. For pizza, I ordered the Fig Prosciutto which was delicious. It was generously topped with fresh arugula. I wish it had one more slice of prosciutto and a couple more pieces of figs to make the flavor pop. My friend ordered the veggie pizza that came beautifully presented with lots of color and she thoroughly enjoyed it too!The second time I went was with my husband who's never been and he was delighted as much as I was on my first visit. Before I met my husband, he lived in Italy for a few years, and yes, he could be a bit of a pizza snob, and rightfully so. For many years, I've lived in a part of Ontario Canada where Europeans are thick and extremely proud of their culture/food. I must admit, I too am a bit of a pizza snob. Since we moved to Oklahoma, we've been searching for a good place for authentic pizza, and we're excited we discovered P-Town Pizza. Their pizza come close to the authentic Italian pizza we've had in Italy. The only negative thing I can say about my second visit was, their Not Knots were not as crispy as the first ones I've had. They were still good and packed with flavor but were missing the crisp-to-the-bite.They were somewhat disappointingly spongy even as we sat at our table. The ones I had on my first visit stayed crispy even after it's been refrigerated. Perhaps, I can ask them to make it crispier on my next visit. If you haven't tried P-Town Pizza, you're missing out. The atmosphere in quite warm and the staff is courteous and extra attentive.
Very good pizza with a distinct crust that only comes from being cooked in a wood fired pizza oven. The atmosphere was pioneer woman inspired.Food: 4/5
First time here and we got right in and ate the Not Knots and Veggie pizza and added 2 sausages to it. Also had a mango beer that was so smooth and tasty! Take the time to stop by! Wonderful pizza and service.Food: 5/5
Restaurant is upstairs. Chairs are not comfortable is you are a hippy woman. So, the food was amazing (pizza and lasagna. The service was outstanding. Floor was clean. Great place to bring the kids. So worth the trip up the stairs!Food: 5/5
P-town Pizza was the first stop on our visit to Pawhuska and we were excited for the pizza. The restaurant was pretty full but we had no wait. Liked the look of the inside dining room, the bar area was a little sad. The service staff was pretty slow and it took a minute to place a drink order. Once the server did come by she was friendly, but not seen much after that the food and drink were all brought by runners. This was observed all over the restaurant, tables waiting on service. We ordered the not-knots after seeing Rea make them on TV. They came and were only warm and very dense, yet tasty. The Steakhouse pizza was very good. The crust was nice and the fried mushrooms a game changer for me as a pizza topping. At the end of our meal once the leftovers were packed up the table next to ours got some of the not-knots delivered and they looked amazing. You could see the steam and they were so fluffy looking. When the server brought back the change I asked if we could get just a single not-knot because those on the next table looked so much better than what we were served. She walked away and the manager came to us and said she was sending us an order to go and said that there was an issue with the kitchen precooking them and they had to replace those at the table behind us. Having not had a server checking in on us we didn't have the opportunity to say anything sooner. The new order were hot and fluffy, that even thought they were boxed up and we were full we each had two of them before we left.
