Cannonball Cafe - Pea Ridge

My husband and I stopped for lunch on our way home from our honeymoon. The service was quick, the food was incredible, and the portions were generous! We could have easily shared our meal. We'll definitely return next time we're in the area. We tried the pancakes and the chicken-fried steak, and both were fantastic!

One of the standout features is that most of the dishes are made in-house, which is something I believe should be standard for all restaurants, especially those claiming to serve country-style or home-cooked meals. Unfortunately, this is becoming increasingly rare to find. The chicken fried steak and roast beef reminded me of the Sunday dinners at my grandmother’s house, though it's hard to compete with her incredible cooking. A more accurate comparison would be that they offer a similar experience to what Cracker Barrel tries to replicate. If you're living in Pea Ridge, I truly don't understand why you would choose a chain restaurant over this delightful spot. For those nearby, the short drive to Cannonball is well worth it for a taste of that authentic country diner experience.

Cannonball Cafe serves what I like to call extraordinary dishes! The food is absolutely delicious, making it difficult to decide what to order since everything is so tempting!

I don't give 5 stars very free, but that was one of the best meals I've ever had and the waiting staff was super friendly. The catfish, pickles, chicken steak, etc., were wonderful and still wet baked. Even my picky family cleared all their plates. We thought we had to make a box, but there was no need. It's hard to find GPS, but it's worth it. I wish I had tried the cake

I called in advance to ensure Cannonball 's chicken-fried steaks were breaded in the restaurant. Sue answered and assured me, We not only bread them here, we cut them here, and we tenderize them here. And dang it if this wasn 't the best (and biggest) CFS I 've had in years. Mashed taters, fried okra, gravy... everything was best-I-could-hope-for perfect. Well done Cannonball.
