If rustic charm, friendly staff and excellent food are your thing, then this is the place you should stay. It is a pet-friendly hotel with beautiful rooms and a beautiful fireplace... in the lobby to cozy up. Very recommended!
When we arrived, there was no one in the hotel, so the lady in the restaurant had to help us get a room standing on a staircase and with me was hard to go and with a canoe that lady wore my... Suggest all the way up, God bless her heart. The room was not clean and some of the leaves wear dirty, luck there were four beds in the room so we can choose a clean one. No fans to cool it had to keep the window open with the bugs to cool it off. Very expensive for what you get. I would not recommend this place for regular travellers. It was for workers who have to stay a time!
We were in the RV park behind the inn. We had to charge our car to make it to Fort St. John. The road to the RV park was a little rough and bumpy, but no problem for our car. The RV park had 30 amperes, but the power was in unpleasant places so a long rope in need. The sides have grass and are planted. The sides are not pulled through and small. All sides have beautiful picnic table! The RV spots are surrounded by small cabins. There are loud generators running behind the inn but we couldn't hear them in the park. The staff here is very friendly. It is not a glamorous camper park, but a great place to stop when you travel the Alaska highway and need a place to stop.
Stay here for a three-week work in E dorm Essen and staff were phenomenal day 7 and had no bad meal nor rooms are clean and comfortable. Chef is brilliant and Megan is a beam of sunshine after a long hard day... You can literally see her smile through her mask. Warm and welcoming recommend
You can't help but stop here--this pink building draws you in. We just wanted a light lunch so we could get on our way quickly. We ordered soup of the day which was delicious and filling as it came with a huge bun. Of course...they display their baked goods--cookies and such--by the register so we never leave without cookies for the road. And there is quite a selection of cookies-oatmeal with raisins, chocolate chip and sugar cookies all found their way to our car. Across the highway is the Pink Mountain Camp Site--a wooden building where you are greeted by two huge carved bears out front. Also worth a stop just to look around as they stock everything you or your car could need on your road trip. Enjoy!
