We also had the short rib pizza which was too die for. It was an amazing birthday celebration and I would love to go back in the day time.
This is my third time at Natirar/ Ninety Acres. I first came for a cooking class (Amazing! , again for a work event and found myself back this week for a drink that turned into a great dining experience. Everything about the mansion is lush and luxurious. I love the open kitchen and it was a joy to watch dinner service as I ate. I decided to try out the prix fixe menu with wine pairing. I enjoyed the experience overall- my favorites being the short rib and the dessert/dessert wine (I usually hate dessert!! To note: One course came out lukewarm and there were some timing inconsistencies between courses but my dinner was super enjoyable and the service was superb! I will definitely be back to try other more dishes on the menu.
Situated in a gorgeous setting and boasting superior service, this place nonetheless disappoints. I started with an order of crab hush puppies which offered not a hint of crab flavor but tasted exactly like a cheap, oily corn fritter...only it was a very expensive, oily corn fritter. For the main I tried the halibut. The fish was perfectly poached but inexplicably swimming in a watery, flavorless sauce. I was offered a taste of the scallops by another in my party. They were very good, but a tad undercooked. Overall, this place does not offer value nearly commensurate with the hype, the waiting time or the price. It 's good at a price that would suggest excellence. I 'd come back..... in the warm season to grab a cocktail and an app or two in the beautiful outdoor seating area. Other than that? Nah....
I came here for a work event, and the event itself was a cooking class! First, the space. I loved how big the kitchen was, the location of the place was gorgeous, and so much room for making multiple meals with large groups. Second, the staff. Completely professional, extremely helpful. I loved that they were providing tips along the way, from how to cook the meats, to hot to properly chop cilantro! I'm a noob in the kitchen, but didn't feel like a noob with how helpful the staff was. Lastly, the food. The food was epic. Fresh ingredients, nicely seasoned, and a large variety for those who were vegetarian or had other dietary restrictions. Overall, a wonderful experience!
Today's visit left me with mixed feelings. While our server was exceptional and the Sauvignon Blanc delightful, the food fell short of expectations. The ambiance was lovely, but the pasta sauce was dry, and the octopus appetizer chewy. Despite the beautiful setting, the food didn't live up to previous experiences. In summary, while the service and wine were highlights, the food left much to be desired.
