Menchie's Frozen Yogurt - Pearland

The yogurt is tasty, but the selection is quite limited, and many of the machines frequently break down. There seems to be a lack of management at this location, and the staff can be quite overwhelmed when you request samples. I really hope it improves.

After purchasing our ice cream at Menchie's in Pearland, TX, we went to sit at a table in the store, only to be informed that the chairs were not available for use as they were "out for the night." The store had an hour left before closing. When we inquired, we were told it was a policy. This felt a bit off, as it seemed like they simply didn't want to have customers using the chairs so close to closing time. If this is indeed a policy, it's quite silly and definitely needs to be reconsidered.

I spotted visible baby cockroaches crawling on one of the yogurt machines I wanted to use (and I regret not taking photos for proof because I was just so shocked to see that). I reported what I saw to the guy at the counter, but shortly after he went to check, someone else came up to buy a cup. I thought I could overlook it (a poor decision on my part) and decided to get some soft-serve yogurt anyway. Now, I can't get that disturbing sight out of my mind, and that yogurt ended up in the trash. Having worked at Sonic in my teens, I remember that we had to clean the machines every night with a special solution and run hot water through the nozzles. Menchie’s needs to implement those practices as well. It's surprising they have an "A" health inspection rating. Disgusting! They really need to get their staff in line!

Clean and hip place, great for a dessert visit after dinner (see my MOD Pizza review). Many flavors that change with season though low sugar option really doesn't have much variety (reasonforlower star rating). Kids love it which is main reason we would go.

Great choices. Even have sorbet. Upbeat music. 2016 review. Update: prices have soared here. 2019...2 sundaes now cost $18!
