The Sweet Bean Coffee Treats - Pekin

Just heard this place is closing. While I don't like to see a local business fail, my experience with her was less than excellent. I'd called to have some cookies made with a simple palm tree on them. She told me it was after hours she was backed up her normal price was $50 a dozen near hung up on me! Just saying this type of pricing service may be part of the reason her buisness is a failure.

Made on-site daily. Delicious. Friendly people. And I like the new additions to the decor.

Stopped in for my favorite oatmeal cream pie and got the peanut butter sammie as well. I am never disappointed! Cute shop and friendly service! One of may favorites places!

110% my favorite place for baked goodies. Long time Pekinites might remember Larkin's Bakery...the thumbprint cookies here are uncannily similar. SO delicious, I have yet to try something that didn't immediately do the eyes-rolling-back Yummm.

They sell a really great coffee cake. It paired well with the seasonal coffee flavoring that they put in my coffee this morning. Thanks for the treat!
