Really wanted to try breakfast but didn't get there in time. Got two lunch plates to take home so I could try a variety.Service was super friendly and helpful. The internet was down so it was cash only that day. Prices are very reasonable and in line with other meat and threes.Vegetables were served in large portions and well seasoned. Fried chicken was good but had been holding a little long. Chicken and dumplings were as good as any I've had.I'll be back again. Hopefully I can make it for breakfast one day soon.
We went by here one morning and were told they do not do breakfast by one of the waitresses. So, beware, even though they advertise breakfast and it says breakfast on the signs outside- they apparently do not serve breakfast.I can rate the food. Just updating.
Awesome breakfast spot! Great small town atmosphere and very good service. We will be back.
Been living in the area for over half a decade now and this is only the 2nd time I 've been here. Sadly, it 'll be the last. The first time I went in 2019, it was the same sort of experience. I came in and was dressed in business casual for work, wasn 't asked if I was going to dine in, was given a lot of scowls and odd looks, and was quickly scooted out the door. The breakfast I got back then was ample and fairly flavorful.Today, I came in for lunch after taking the 2nd half of the day off. Once again, no one asked if I was dining in. Although I was standing and waiting to be seated per the sign up front, I was told to go on ahead and order at the counter. Little did I know they were trying to shuffle me out like last time, no doubt because my man wasn 't there to accompany me. It 's become painfully obvious in 7 yrs that women don 't eat alone in AL.Last time, I took my breakfast to go since it was just me and it was pretty clear I wasn 't a regular and didn 't belong. This time, despite a tall female employee with a blonde/gray pony tail condescending to me because I didn 't know if their bread pudding was savory or not (by the way, savory bread pudding exists, so joke 's on you), I stayed and ate my meal. The lady who served my meat was awesome. She was absolutely a peach, as was the lady at the cash register. I don 't fault them at all for their counterpart 's rude attitude. As for the food, the chicken tetrazzini was over-salted and the greens had no seasoning whatsoever. The okra and cornbread were definitely the highlights of the meal.It 's sad because I sock a heck of a lot money into the area, both myself and the company for which I work. I just get the distinct impression that if you don 't come in wearing overalls or sweats, don 't even bother. Guess I won 't be.I 'm glad to read other reviews with individuals claiming they were treated differently due to not being a regular. Thought maybe I was overreacting, but it seems that 's a prevalent theme here.
