Scruby's Bbq Ribs - Pembroke Pines

My husband and I eat here fairly often. The manager is not very helpful so if you need help, don 't ask him. Months ago, they did not have beef ribs on the menu... one night I came in and said, Since I 'm allergic to pork, I really wish you guys made beef ribs. his response was, Yeah, sorry. I sat down at the table, and to my surprise, there was a new menu from the last time we 'd been there... and what was on it??? BEEF RIBS!!! The manager didn 't even know they served beef ribs- come on!!! Anyway, the food is great but prices have been going up steadily. You can add a salad bar to your meal for $2.99 but it doesn 't have much at it- take a walk over and check it before you order it. For an appetizer, the corn nuggets are AMAZING!! So crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside! They 're so sweet and dip them in the cinnamon butter for an even sweeter little morsel! Mmmmmmm Beef ribs are great!!!! My husband says the baby back ribs are the best in the area! He really wishes they had an all you can eat baby back rib night! They do have an all you can eat spare rib night though! The fried corn on the cob is an interesting side dish and a great alternative to regular corn on the cob which always seems to be a little soggy in BBQ joints! HUGE benches for bigger groups! Great place!

OMG! I was so hungry and saw this place so I stopped in WHAT A MISTAKE. The food was horrible and very small portion of it for too much money. The waitress was unpleasant and so was the blonde girl in front by the take out area. This is the first and very LAST time I eat here. I feel I was really ripped off.

On 4/11/11 I gave this rest. a try again. Big mistake!! Had a combo of 2 small spare ribs, sliced pork, sliced beef (maby 4oz ea. , cold slaw, baked beans and french fries for approx. $18 including iced tea but not tip. The meats were way over cooked and dried out and almost cold. I sat next to the bbq pit and serving station watching the meals being put together. Everything I had was precooked much earlier and stored away. The waitress never checked back to see if all was ok, had to ask for more iced tea, but was very quick with the bill. I was there at 6:15 pm and they were not that busy. This place has been there for quite a while. Serving food like this, I can't understand why they are still in business. Maby the area people have never eaten good BBQ.

Nice homey place to eat. Really nice people work here. The managers are very sweet. If you like BBQ, don't miss this place.

It's always difficult to choose a favorite when so many items on the menu is just so tasty and prepared well. I want to mention here not to forget this restaurant when and if a hurricane hits the area. Not only is the food and service wonderful, but when every other restaurant is closed because of a hurricane, scrubby's is open. I suppose it's because everything is grilled, but I don't know why they still had lots of baked beans! I would mention that parking can be and is a problem here. Going during a rain storm and you may have to walk about a block from your parking spot in the main parking lot. Other then that, you won't be disappointed.
