It was probably the worst I've had and I'm sorry that I did not send it back at the time. The lettuce was chopped finely like for a taco, there was not even a sprinkle of parmesan on it, and the croutons were stale
The brunch is not good. Seems like they are not prepared in the kitchen. I ordered chicken and fries and the chicken was way over cooked and dry. My husband ordered their potatoes and they were awful. It was just big chunks of potatoes with nothing on themno seasoning, and way under cooked. We both ordered **** Marys and it was terrible. They add salt to the rim. Usually, what's used is an old bay seasoning of some form, and the mix it self was plain with no spice at all
We had to go to the Village as we are loyal customers and want to support them in every way during these trying times. As usual service excellent and Juan R. was terrific! Even though we felt we had the whole place to ourselves we wish that this whole situation would pass and get back to normal we love our wine down Wednesday! The Village never disappoints! Thanks again to Ed for stopping by to say hello and showing his appreciation as well, Ana and I will see you all again soon
Normally this is my go to place to eat, however they changed the menu, ok so we tried something new, they burnt our first app which was mushroom, goatcheese and brie flatbread, that took forever to come out,the brie rine was so overwhelming I thought there was anchovies on it. Then brought my salad bites in. I ordered braised meatballs which I have enjoyed many times except this visit. I got globs of cold cheese, they took it back and brought it out still not right, usually its brown and bubbling, not so much this time. We have eaten here on many occasions and never have had any issues. Service was ok, took a few minutes to get our servers attention, it was friday after so it wasn't terribly busy, many open tables outside. I don't really know what has changed, new chef maybe, but we won't bother going again. They did take the meatballs off the tab though. I used to really love this place, very disappointed we won't be returning
The food was great! Had the crab dip, the filet and the crime brûlée, everything was perfect. Our server Jack was amazing! Friendly and very knowledgeable! He made great recommendations
