The whole place is dirty, despite the fact that it was quiet, the tables had no attention given to them despite the crumbs, tea spillages and tomato sauce. We couldn't find a clean table so settled for a bareable one. At one point I witnessed a member of staff using her hand to brush crumbs off a table with no further effort to clean before new customers arrived. I had a nice brownie which I can't fault but was served tea from a greasy teapot with a cracked spout which was so dirty it put me off drinking the tea. In my opinion the teapot should have been thrown away and was in no state to be used. A new teapot could be purchased from the poundshop with minimal effort and I don't believe there's a need for this to be given to customers. The staff were pleasant enough but the whole place in generally run down and could be improved just by giving everything a good scrub. In a beautiful location but the cleanliness really let's it down unfortunately.
Thanks for a very unenjoyable experience that will never be repeated. Rude staff, dirty cutlery and half cold food and poor value for money. If I could give this establishment a 0 rating I would
We dropped in for lunch, food was average, my bacon roll was very greasy. The staff were very willing but the whole place is long overdue a refresh and redecoration especially the cobweb areas.
Friendly staff, really tasty coffee (even the decaf was good! and honestly the best Millionaire’s shortbread I’ve ever had in my life. Staff very welcoming and could not be more helpful when we needed to find a taxi. Thoroughly recommended!
We are a small group of 8 people walking along the coastal path. The restaurant was able to accommodate us in their small cafe area, providing extra chairs and serving us delicious toasted sandwiches and hot drinks at a very reasonable price on a cold and windy day. We are grateful for their hospitality.
