Out for a walk up Pendle on Sunday, the only day this wonderful place only and popped in for a pint of tea. Staffed by knowledgeable and talkative volunteers and with a lot of history, this place is interesting. View spectacular, long drop toilet outside is historical (modern toilets available inside), the place simply has such a peaceful atmosphere.
We arrived and the place was deserted. However a gentleman arrived on a bike and made us a brew. He wasn't on duty but held the fort until the duty staff for the day arrived. Always a genuine welcome here. I would like to thank the gentleman for his kindness.

If they walk or cycle on Sunday in the opposite, only open Sundays I think 10:30 16:00) they call for a nice cheap cuppa, normal cup tee and chocolate bar costs me £1.20) made welcome and had nice talk, nice open charcoal fire on the jump also, would be great at a cold or rainy day for a stop. I made a circular 5.5 miles to foot up and round pendle hill by barley, then added a 3 miles circular walk from barley in clarion house to take good it worth
