Sabrina is a fantastic baker and her cakes, cookies, and pies are absolutely delicious. Her specialty cakes are truly remarkable and leave everyone wondering how she creates such masterpieces. If you're looking for something truly magical, share your ideas with Sabrina and give her some time to work her magic. Rest assured, she will not disappoint.

I love these little dedicated, small-town, bakeries! As I'm traveling about, I try to visit these local bakeries, at least, if they're open. Many close too early in the day but then again, they also tend to open very early in the morning. Sabrina's is one of those bakeries, in fact, Sabrina's business card gives her the title of Sugar Mason. The shop is located right on Main Street in downtown Penn Yan, as a part of the district listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's kitty-corner to the historic post office, which you can see reflected in one of my photos. Why not? Penn Yan is home to the world's largest pancake griddle but you won't find pancakes here. I heard cookies calling my name, signaling me to go in and sure enough, a chorus of cookies were calling my name. Chocolate-chocolate chip, traditional chocolate chip, and molasses cookies. (The cookies lived up to their calling, too! There are lots of other tempting treats along with coffee and tea. The interior is a charming, old style bakery, complete with lots of wood fixtures and pendant schoolhouse lights. An artistic menu board calls out for your order. Right on the wood counter is a modern, computerized cash, or should I say, plastic money register. Welcome to the 21st Century, you old store. Penn Yan is lucky enough to have two of these wonderful bakeries, if I ever get back to this charming town, I'll have to visit them again.
